guys. I’ve got something to taco bout.
can you tell the difference between these two tortillas? the difference is that one will betray you and one won’t. one of these tortillas will tear and let the contents of your taco fall where they may. the other one will hold the contents of your taco and cradle it like a baby.
I used to never want corn tortillas because they would always rip. I thought, “what is the point to a corn tortilla if it can’t even do it’s job??”
THEN.. one day I learned the simplest trick to ease my tortilla woes. HEAT. that’s right. bring on the heat. the difference between these two tortillas is heat. the unheated one will betray you, rip, and spill all the things. however, by simply heating your tortilla in a skillet for 30 seconds on medium heat on both sides you can prevent the tortilla from tearing. it’s revolutionary. it’s saving the contents of tacos everywhere.
Science is in the name of my college degree, but still I am a very amateur scientist. I am guessing that the heat causes some molecules or something to bind together. all I know is that the heat causes come adhesion and prevents tearing.
S C I E N C E I S S O C O O L !
I have never seen a more perfect bottom.
remember KEY to success: heat tortilla for in a skillet on medium heat for 30 seconds on each side. additionally, you don’t even need oil or anything. microwaving will not work, you can use the oven to heat them for a few minutes if you need to heat a large quantity. and now you can load your taco without worry. I’m so happy for you!!
